In October 2025 I purchased two quaker parrots from Marsha Dee Maas (alias is Luna Moon). I picked them up at her Rockford storefront. We had great communication before and week after she notified me she has baby blues that will hatch and be ready by November/December 2025. I put down a $400.0 secure deposit with her via credit card and she promised I was first in line for my choice of what Blue quaker I wanted. For the last 2 weeks November 10 - November 20 I all of a sudden I'm not getting responses when asking about updates and ETA on pickup. I tried calling the company phone on the website and it is disconnected. After further research I saw her Twitter that says "due to health" I am closing the store December 1st, 2025. I saw a facebook post there is a liquidation sale for breeders on Saturday November 22 to buy whatever they want at discount cost including all birds. My wife and I tried messaging her on facebook and she immediately blocked us. So she has my $400.0 deposit. This is a total scam and I will not allow her to get away with this without resolution (either receiving my bird or my money back). From google reviews and BBB complaints this isn't her first instance of scamming. Please help!
