Received a voicemail from 855-307-4742 stating my full address. Called back and spoke with a guy named Drew. This debt was in my maiden name. I told him I was not familiar with it and had received no notices. Asked for them to mail something. He said they only provided validation if you were resolving the debt. He kept calling it a case and using language that would insinuate that it was heading to a legal status. I informed him that I was a former debt collector and that I worked for a debt buyer, so I am very familiar with the FDCPA and that you do have to provide validation of the debt. He hung up. I called back and spoke with a lady who transferred me back to him. He said they don't help people dispute debts and I could dispute it on my credit. He said if I didn't want to resolve it, I would have to wait for it to go on my credit to dispute it. I ended up hanging up on him because he is too sassy for me. I called back again to ask for their website because the phone # said ARC ACCNT MGMT and the name on the voicemail was A&R Services. The guy asked me if I was needing it to resolve a debt. I said I'm trying to verify that you guys are real. He said, "oh that won't be hard to do". Then he transferred the call and I got a busy signal. They were unwilling to validate and refused to give me their info. Claimed the debt was a $500 cash advance that was now up to $2000+. It may be a scam, but if not, these guys are ruthless and disrespectful to say the least.
