Was looking for a part-time work from home position, they really came across as a liable company, asking all the right questions, did an online interview through teams, asked about work history, then went into what I was looking for, how many hours a week I wanted and so forth, then they proceed to say that I got the job sent me an employment letter and a welcome letter, and asked for my ss # and driver's license # and asked which bank I banked at, I never did give them my banking information. Then they proceeded to say that they would be sending all the necessary office equipment to my house and programs to run efficiently out of my house. I asked several times if I needed any upfront cost and they said no. We continued to talk back and forth, and they said that we needed to set up a unique password and that I needed to get a cash app card from Walmart, Casey's or Walgreens either 2- $50 cards or 1- $100 card, take a pic of the card, the receipt and the bar card and send to them secretly and not tell anyone. That is when I told them I would be contacting local law enforcement and the BBB. They reached out again today. I blocked them. They also pulled the same scam on my daughter. They asked questions like who your cell phone carrier is and asked her if she was the owner of the carrier. Just didn't feel right.
