This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
Chase Visa sent us a text saying they had denied payment of a $39.99 charge to vershop.co. They asked us if it was a purchase we were really trying to make. It was not. Chase Visa is investigating this fraud and sending us new credit cards. The first thing you see on the vershop.co website is a form to complete if you want a refund or to cancel your monthly $39.99 billing. We would love to know how they got our credit card number.
