This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
This is an absolute scam. A legitimate online shop and it looks normal all the way until you submit the order, the it puts you through a bitcoin Moonpay site. After you submit that payment, they ask you to file for a certificate of insurance (COI), which they say is refundable. But it’s for almost $500. The guy on text message would engage until I asked for some proof that this isn’t a scam. Because my spider sense was tingling. Then he ghosted me and went no contact. Thankfully I never sent the follow up request for more money. Please beware.
