Description

"MoBetter Garage", a subsidiary of "Garage Door Partners" forces new hires to travel by flight only to their separate subsidiary "Metro Garage Doors inc." To attend what is explained as an in depth 3 week training, during the training the instructors pretend to be very disorganized in attempt to search for reasons to send every new hire "student" home after stranding them in Douglasville GA (again, you're not allowed to drive to the training as they "don't want anyone to have their own transportation while attending the class") after new hires commit to the journey and relocate to GA from FL, they are immediately targeted for nonsensical reasons not pertaining to the actual job and sent home 1 by 1. They start with approximately 20 people in class attendance and they begin cutting people by the multiple until none are left. Their ultimate motive is unclear, perhaps lining pockets of family/ friends running local hotels and "ubers". What is absolutely clear is that they have no intentions of actually hiring these people and they do this operation like routine mill perhaps just for data collection purposes or identity thefts when they see possible(motive unclear). Once you are there in their "possession", they make it painfully clear that you most likely will not actually be hired( you absolutely won't) im not sure what kind of immoral(possibly illegal) operation they're running but this portion of their business is clearly not set up for legitimate business purposes. These people need to be investigated. I almost didn't even go because prior to traveling there I was told I cannot drive my vehicle there because they "didn't want people traversing the city after business hours because they want to know exactly where we're at while in Douglasville for the 3 week training". I was also told to bring no means of self defense(no weapons) and i was aware of the training date almost a month in advance but was not given any addresses for the classroom training NOR the hotel until the final day before having to travel there. Obviously my intuition was leaning towards being suspicious of being trafficked or worse. The garage door services they offer are legitimate BUT the facet of the business I am referring to here has 100 red flags screaming potential fraud or worse. When I was sent home and told I will not be hired I was not even given a reason! Which is even stranger considering I was outperforming 99% off the rest of the class in every area. An investigation needs to be done with this company.
