I was contacted via text by two different people - Patricia from Global Staffing Inc. and Lisa from Novera Digital Brand - neither one of them provided any concrete email address or website info. That made me suspicious so I decided to search for them on this site. I did not find a specific mention of either of these entities here but I just finished reading the submission by the single mom who lost her job as a waitress and was trying to make ends meet and she was contacted by a similar outfit. (here's the link: https://www.bbb.org/scamtracker/lookupscam/1103448) Her detailed description sounded very similar to what I had been told so far and I am now convinced that it's the exact same racket. Please let her know that I really appreciated her in-depth information about what she went through as it really helped me! Please also let her know that she did such a great job and provided a valuable service by reporting them! Based on my legal experience she should definitely see a lawyer and go after them with all of her might. She should also file a report with the Attorney Generals' office in her state of residence - they have an obligation to investigate them. I do hope that she not only gets her $5,400 back but that she also gets additional compensation for damages etc.
