*automated message* "This is Brian Baker this message is solely intended for (Name) your listed wages, source of income, and assets are being verified at this time. all information the you provided on your application that would also include your references, place of employment or any listed business contact. all parties will be contacted immediately. if you have any questions or concerns or your not sure why your recieving this message press 1 and ask to speak to me." when i called the person on the phone "Brian Baker" had a foreign accent. he told me i owed money from a account in 2014 and that my wages would be garnished. originally he said they were calling as a last attempt to work something out. i asked if he could email anything, and also asked if he had the number for the legal dept so i could discuss my options. i explained i want to see something in writing due to scams. he said he doesn't have a number for them as they have never communicated. so i asked "well how did you get this then and how are you handling it if you never talked to them?" he didn't reply and said ill sent this to the attorney and they will reach out to you and hung up. i called back and he kept saying since you don't want to work with me ill just tell them to proceed. i told him i hope the calls monitored and recorded and he said the were and got super defensive and kept talking over men very unprofessionally and started to get angry and raise his voice. i told him if this is legit then i need to talk to someone to work out payments directly and i need the phone number so i can work with the attorney directly. he then refused to give me any info for the attorney that is working on the case saying he didnt have a phone number or contact for them, and then called me a liar at one point cause he was flustered with my questions. he said i wasn't willing to work them and now i am saying i am willing which means im a liar and i said yes if this a real legal matter i want to be responsible and make payments on this. He then got frustrated cause i wanted to work directly with the attorneys and not him, he then hung up on me again. at this point my gut is telling me this is a scam. so i call back and ask for a manager the receptionist then hung up on me and blocked my number. after researching online there are alot of people receiving calls from him from different numbers and have reported it as a scam. so i'm doing my part and reporting this experience. i hope the cops or someone shuts this guy down cause some sucker is going to fall for it and lose a lot of money. i mean he was trying to get me for 2900.00 for a account from 2014 that he could provide no info on or phone numbers, and he originally stated it was a 600 dollar loan but now i owe 2900 cause how long its been. please someone investigate this guy. heres a reddit link with other people he has tried to scam https://www.reddit.com/r/Scams/comments/1gqs0dc/brian_baker_scam_call/ the phone number they used to call me was 520-655-9345 (this is also the number they blocked me on)
