This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
Received a letter at my place of business from Bernier Pierre, CPA, Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) located in Quebec Canada saying that I had inherited $10,670,300.00 from the estate of Dr Bruce Thomas, and he wants to obtain legal counsel to get me this money. Bernier Pierre wants half of the money after 10% is donated to a charity of my choice. This is obviously a scam. I received the exact same letter at my place of business a couple of weeks ago from Jerry Talley, same business name, different address in Ontario, Canada (I reported that scam also).
