This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I started a new business in Maine. Received letter titled "2026 - Safety Manual Order Form (Maine businesses" claiming that I am required to order a Safety Manual. It cited "Occupational Safety and Health Act fo 1970, 29 USC (weird symbol/stacked SS's) 654". I have attached a copy of the letter (w/my personal information redacted).
