This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
Calling our office on behalf of our patient stating the patient has requested DME equipment and for us to have the dr sign the authorization form and send medical chart notes to bill insurance. I spoke to the patient and the patient has NEVER requested this info but was called by the same people stating their PCP(US) is requesting DME be sent to the patient. The patient stated they were asking personal info about medical history.
