Description

RE: Walking Yoga. I believe country of origin is India. From an ad on my phone, I was diverted to site or marketing page. I tried to ensure that I specifically asked and paid for only a trial period--no subscription. They showed two different radio buttons: 'trial' & 'subscribe', so when you choose 'trial', you assume that the communication is clear that you are choosing not to subscribe. If their fine print says something to the contrary, it is completely contradictory to the obvious interpretation given by the ad. At that time (apx 10/10/25) I authorized a $15 payment from my account through PayPal. They took $31 out of my account the following month. Now they won't refund; they say I have cancelled the 'subscription' (which I didn't order), and once the money is withdrawn they don't refund (see quote below*). Yet they are the ones issuing the withdrawal order from my account. Even though they say they'll keep the 'service' open for another month, I have to contest through PayPal. Therefore, I am unable to cancel immediately. I would imagine I'm speaking for others too when I say I feel robbed and powerless, and wonder if they’ll keep taking money out of my account. Is this legal, or just highly unethical? Please investigate this company or report it to the FBI or accountable agency for consumer protections. I think they should be penalized and banned from operating a business in this way. *From their email: "According to our subscription policy, all payments are non-refundable once processed. This is outlined during the initial sign-up and renewal process. Your subscription has now been canceled, so you will not be charged again in the future. You will retain access to your plan until December 10, 2025, which is the end of your current billing period." [General note to BBB... We are inundated these days with 'subscriptions' for services, from paying for Internet (air) to innumerable varieties of computer software and television channels if we're not careful. It's gotten completely out of hand. Companies think it's acceptable to be in our pockets us forever, hoping we won't notice. Most of the time they're not even providing a new service! Microsoft was one of the first shocking and disgusting examples of this trend (?) when they started charging subscription fees instead of a one-time price for their software products, Word & Excel. It seems like we used to have a clear distinction between ‘product’ and ‘service’ but that line has gotten blurred. Now business has turned ‘product’ into a verb, and we’re being charged for the ‘product’ ad infinitum. I think that the operations of all companies that are using these tactics deserve further investigation.] Thank you!
