I saw this ad that populated up online stating that JC Penny was having a clearance sale which was about to end & that it was the last chance to order those items before the sale was over. I mean everything looked legit so I begin to order items that I assumed I was going to receive but time past by & I have yet to receive those items . Each time I mention those items they claim that they are out of stock or lost. Now the story is that I can pay to have the items reshipped to me but I will not receive a refund. Now they claim they are working on my refund to have the amount put back on my debit card. They even issued me a tracking # Tracking package order number250919105212309.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE A VICTIM
If you are a victim of an online shopping scam, the FBI recommends taking the following actions:
• Report the activity to the Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.IC3.gov or your local FBI field office, which can be located at www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices.
• Report the activity to the online payment service used for the financial transaction.
• Contact your financial institution immediately upon discovering any fraudulent or suspicious activity and direct them to stop or reverse the transactions.
• Ask your financial institution to contact the corresponding financial institution where the fraudulent or suspicious transfer was sent.
