I was trying to cancel a reservation on Southwest Airlines. I googled Southwest and got an 800 number with a person who pretended to be a reservation customer service employee. He, Mariana, told me that I needed to upgrade my flight in order to cancel it. He charged me $1797.00 each for two tickets plus another $1000.00 for travel insurance. We googled the name of the company and it said it was a potential scam. We immediately called Southwest to ask them if we could dispute these charges. They took all of our information and put a block on our credit card.
