Description

I was targeted by a fraudulent remote job scam that impersonated legitimate companies such as Splunk Inc. I received a text message from a person claiming to be a recruiter named “Lesley” from Kelly Services, offering a remote part-time job with high daily commissions. I was then added to multiple Telegram groups where I was instructed to complete “node tasks” as part of a trial period. These tasks required me to send money via PayPal, funded by my bank account and credit card, with the promise of earning 50% or more in commissions. However, I was told I could not withdraw any earnings until I completed additional node tasks, each requiring more deposits. This created a cycle of escalating payments with no actual payout. In the end, I lost thousands of dollars.
