I watched a very long video on Facebook purportedly starring Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Anil. They touted all the benefits of BurnPeak, that it is essentially the same ingredients as Mounjaro, but not Ozempic. Dr. Anil listed four ingredients in BurnPeak - pink sea salt, green tea extract, berberine, and resveratrol - that are naturally occurring and cost less than the GLP-1s and GIPs. It was a convincing video. I signed up for six bottles at $49/bottle with free shipping, and made my payment to CartPanda via PayPal on 11/10/2025. My card was charged immediately. Later on today, I decided to check whether this is a scam. It is. I could not find a phone number for BurnPeak, so I sent an email to [email protected]. I received this response from a "virtual assistant." "Hello D_______, my name is Sarah and I’m a virtual assistant at Cartpanda. I’m here to support you through every step of this process. If the information below does not fully address your concern, please feel free to reply to this message. Our dedicated team will follow up with you directly to provide further assistance. My bank said they can't do anything for a couple of days. The money was immediately debited from my account. Here's hoping I get my money back! There was also a follow-up email from [email protected] within ten minutes of them receiving my payment. The email asked me to set up a time for a call with a "coach" to discuss the "Win-Win" Opportunity (again, referencing a link with Oprah "Win"frey). Next, I got another email, this one from [email protected]. His email talks about the devastating effects of rapid weight loss, such as sagging skin, hollowed-out face, and the skin on their neck sagging, etc. At the bottom of the email, they wanted me to click on a link to another interview about a "blue antioxidant that can be up to 10x more powerful than Retinol." It sounded like they were going to try to sell me something else. The email was from Sao Paulo, Brazil. I didn't even check that when I read the email because it was WAY DOWN AT THE VERY BOTTOM OF THE EMAIL.
