The scammer states they trying collect a debt on behalf of Credit One bank (a real bank based in Nevada). The scammer states they work for Halstead Financial (a real debt collector). I checked to see if I had anything in collections before I sent the money they were requesting. Here is verbatim what they sent "Payment options on your Credit One Bank, N.A. account are available all day, every day, at You may also call us at 888-228-1916 to learn more. This text is from Halsted Financial, a debt collector. Reply stop to opt-out".
