This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
Scammer presented on FB as a long standing friend. We had chatted about a cryptocurrency platform that was holding my funds demanding up front fees to withdrawal. The scammer had actually hacked her account. Corresponded using WhatsApp to use their ‘recovery of lost funds services’. Initial deposit 2k, total deposits 15k. After finding out her account was hacked, they have gotten angry and basically stalking me.
