Thank you for listening to our report. We planned a vacation to Oralando, Florida from Oct 26 to Nov1, rented a car the same duration. Received an Invoice charged for detection of smoking the very first date in the evening for 450USD. The invoice was sent out by e-mail, already charged to the credit card account, I noticed the e-mail on next day(Oct27) and claimed for refund. The report says that there are evidence coming from the sensor, but actually myself nor any of my family has never smoked/vaped/e-cigaretted in our lives. We also claimed to the staff when returning the vehicle to the rental store, explained we are not understanding for the charge and asked the staff to check. But he did not check the vehicle so long, told us that there are no issues for returning the vehicle (that means they're not having any concerns for the vehicle for taking additional care for defects by smoking). They told me that later some supervisors will contact us, and just received the sensor data telling me that some smoking was really detected, which we are never aware of. The contract says we might be charged up to 450USD if the violation of policy has occured, but we do not feel it's fair enough for just the evidence of sensor detection has come out, not the vehicle or the sensor has been checked after the incident report. I do want to continue talking with Stride, and sent out the same claim to them by e-mail by they're not responding these 3days, seems to have closed the window for me. Do you have any kind of advice for me to seek the chance to justify myself, and have the full refund of the violation charge? Thank you very much. Shinya Kato
