Description

Was approached about this job on linkedin. Little did I know it was selling knives. Had a zoom informational interview where I was told that there were multiple other candidates. I was the first to enter a one on one breakout room. I got the position and then he pressured me to come to training that same day. He said he would send a note to excuse me from my classes and never did. He told me the next training he had started in 10 minutes but remember I was the first to enter the breakout room out of multiple candidates so he claimed. I arrived and the sign outside said all the names of the different businesses within the warehouse, but there was nothing about vector or anything resembling it. The whole place was under construction and there was one other person a man who I saw in there the whole day I was there. I was with another girl for training. It was supposed to end at 3 but went until 4. There was paper print outs taped to the wall in this office/ conference room as decor and trophies displayed on the window. He had us download the company app but apple iphones didn’t trust it? so we had to go into settings-general- vpn and allow access or something of the sort. Then we had to share our contacts list and add our contacts to a list of “prospects” and then mark if they were single, had children, and were homeowners and were over 30. They stole my contacts. I have seen reports now that they bombard older people and try to convince them to buy the product. Not only older people but they are preying on college students specifically because they come across to the buyers as affable and harmless. I am ashamed I fell for something like this. Please do not go near this company or CUTCO knives that they are selling. Whether CUTCO is a legit brand or not they should not be allowing this to happen under their watches. He also told us many lies such as that neil armstrong sold CUTCO and that co founders of uber and many other powerful people in business got their start selling CUTCO. I hope their business is dealt with accordingly to secure the protection of individual data.
