On November 6, 2025 a lady who went by the name Kendall stopped by claiming to be trying to get people to sign up for Spectrum internet and phone service. I was interested because we do have a lot of options for Internet where we live. She asked me who we use for Internet and phone and how much we spend on them each month which I told her. She claimed to be able to get us Internet for $40/month at 500 Mpbs speed with a free trial for 30 days and a $30 per month for each phone line with one year free for one phone line. This sounded pretty good, so I asked if there was a flyer or information packet I could take to show my husband. She oddly didn't have a single thing to hand me, but would text me the information and stop by again in 2 days. I will upload the text exchange we had, but she sent me very basic information, not including important information like how much data would be included in the phone plan, etc. She seemed to clarify after I asked that the phone prices never change at $30 per month and the internet is locked in at $40 per month for 2 years, and after that it goes up by $10. Okay great. Then today, November 7th, I texted her and told her my husband was not going to be available tomorrow and could she please just sent me more official information or a contract about what this Spectrum deal is all about. At this point she says she has no hard copies of anything to give me or website links to look at. She cannot send me any information until we sign up. She can send screenshots or read me information, but cannot give me anything. My Spidey sense were tingling. This is Spectrum who sends me junk mail weekly and endless emails trying to get me to sign up for their services. Yet she has nothing to give me?! Not to mention, we had called Spectrum about a year ago looking into what they had to offer, and they were more expensive than what we were looking for at the time. So how could after a year the prices go down this much? It seems too good to be true. She said they don't do contracts, which is just weird. Why would I ever sign up for something and give my credit card information without knowing what I was signing up for? Um no, and it doesn't seem like something a reputable company like Spectrum would do. If it is them, then this is really crappy of them.
