We wish to file a formal complaint against COPYTRACK GmbH (Saarbrücker Str. 18, 10405 Berlin, Germany • trade register number: HRB 173269 B, VAT ID number: DE305466114) for sending misleading international copyright-infringement payment demands to non-German companies. The company repeatedly refuses to provide proof of rights ownership, uses vague legal threats referencing German law, and pressures recipients to pay through its portal. COPYTRACK GmbH appears to engage in a recurring pattern of intimidation-based settlement requests targeting businesses worldwide. Their communications omit proof of ownership or jurisdiction, rely on vague threats of “partner lawyers,” and pressure recipients to make payments through a proprietary portal. This conduct exploits fear of litigation and misrepresents enforceability under German law. We request that regulators investigate their business model, verify their right-holder representation, and prevent further misuse of international copyright law to solicit payments from foreign businesses. We believe this conduct violates principles of fair commercial practice and may constitute deceptive international solicitation.
