Description

I've received 4 calls (as voicemails) and my brother has received 1 call, all for me. The initial 2 calls were from "Hartford Group" from an "Emily", telling me that she's received a petition assigned to her "firm", that it's time sensitive, and to call her back at 844-584-5751 ext 315 and 7-digit file number. I ignored it, didn't call back. The next day I received another message from "Emily", saying almost the same thing but that I failed to respond to her yesterday and she needs an immediate response. She gave the same phone number and file number. My brother then received the same call/voicemail on the 3rd day from "Emily" also. He told me about it, and I told him to ignore it, that it's a scam. In all 3 calls from Emily, she never says who is complaining/suing/has an issue for me. One week later, I've received a call from "Paige" who says she's a licensed processor. The # on my phone shows up as "Private". Her message doesn't give the name of her company but says she has legal documents to give me and will be showing up at my residence, giving my old address from 6 years ago. Says I need a valid ID when she shows up and if I'm not available then a missed appearance will be placed against me, and if i had questions to call the "original filing party" (never says who that is or gives a number for them). Said her # is 888-632-9280 and the file # **********. Today, I received a 4th call, from "Paige" again, saying she couldn't stop at my residence and will instead show up at my "place of employment" (no mention of any location info) and that someone from HR can sign and accept my paperwork and that it doesn't matter who it is. Said if I had questions to call the original filing party at the same 888# and gave the same filing #. I have verified on the WI Circuit Court that nothing has been filed against me and I have nothing late or outstanding for bills. I haven't received anything in the mail nor has anyone approached me in person to serve/tell me anything for this.
