This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
To begin with, I never got their email address. I’m reporting a suspected tech support scam involving a company called Cure and Secure LLC. I contacted what I believed to be HP support after installing an HP Smart Tank printer. The representative claimed my system was hacked and demanded $884 for a 3-year protection plan. I was instructed to send a check to Cure and Secure LLC at 1508 Truett St., Las Vegas, NV 89128. After researching, I found no legitimate connection between this company and HP. I believe I was misled and potentially defrauded since I have not sent the check to them. I now have the correct HP real phone number to report this to them and will be doing that Wednesday 11/5/25. I’m submitting this report to help prevent others from falling victim to similar scams.
