Description

Scammer requested to purchase $42,672.50 worth of equipment (Meters), posing as a City of Allen TX purchasing offical (Rene Jaime). Sent documents over (W9, Sales Tax Exemption, Credit References and Purchase Order) all with the City of Allen information. Appeared to be legit. Had a gut feeling something wasn't right when noticed the email was city0fallen.gov and the ship to address was a local Allen TX UPS store. Contacted the city and got transferred to Rene, who confirmed it was fraud and has been happening.
