I booked a hotel stay through Super.com, one of the booking options displayed on Google Maps’ hotel listings. During checkout, Super.com offered a paid “refundable protection” add-on managed by a company called Refundable.me. It promised a full refund if I couldn’t attend the booking due to illness or injury and provided supporting documentation. After booking, I was medically scheduled for surgery and submitted all required proof, including a doctor’s note and medical certificate. Despite providing everything that was requested, Refundable.me repeatedly refused to process my refund. They kept asking for irrelevant and contradictory information such as the first date my symptoms began or proof that my condition had “deteriorated,” even though my medical note clearly stated that I was unable to travel. After researching the company, I found hundreds of similar complaints online from people describing the same issue—Refundable.me appears to systematically deny valid refund claims. Super.com continues to partner with them and profit from selling this deceptive “refundable protection.” Consumers should be aware that Super.com and Refundable.me appear to use misleading practices. I recommend avoiding Super.com bookings and any add-ons connected to Refundable.me, as they may not honor their advertised refund policies.
