Description
Phone scam for health insurance during 2nd day of Open Enrollment (Nov. 2, 2025). No documentation provided before being coerced into enrolling during OPEN ENROLLMENT. I was duped. Over an hour of questions about my health history, my spouse's health history which I knew I shouldn't answer due to HIPAA but I did which I absolutely KNEW I shouldn't be doing if I had just trusted my instincts. I just assumed health insurance companies required lots of sensitive medical information to underwrite a health insurance policy. I was assured that there was a "Core Medical Policy," and two add-ons (Dental and Vision). I was led to believe in the details of this policy. After enrolling I had a sense of dread and began researching this company finding that my instincts had been correct and I had been duped. I immediately emailed the company demanding my policy and add-ons be CANCELLED IMMEDIATELY WITH A FULL REFUND, since I had never used the policy and it was the exact same day I enrolled. I also tried calling to cancel my policy and add-ons but the number I called said the company was closed for the day and I would need to call back during business hours, here is that number: (866)572-0114 I will try to call back during business hours. I will also go to my bank to cancel my bank card and file a scam claim for a full refund. I will close my bank account and open a new account too. I will contact the Ohio Attorney General to file a complaint. I will contact the National Association of Insurance Commissioners to file a formal Complaint.
