This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I received a letter in the mail at my work from "America's Best in Medicine". It was an impersonal letter saying I was going to be featured in my state's edition of Best in Medicine magazine. It had an email that was personalized for me with my first and last name with ".com" at the end. It wanted me to go to the website and presumably "check the information was right."
