Description
I received an email that appeared to be from PayPal—the sender address looked legitimate, and the formatting matched past messages I’ve seen from them. However, the content raised some red flags. It claimed I had purchased an iPhone 17 and been charged in JPY. I called the number listed and initially spoke with someone, but it quickly became clear it was a scam when they began asking for personal and financial information. I ended the call immediately.
