My Dad asked me to order some boots he saw advertised on Instagram, the ads redirected to the website brivo-usa.com. The boots took about a week to ship and that was a redflag I shouldn't have ignored. On PayPal the payee is listed as Nguyen Duc Nghia, the shipping label has a return address to Gichael Lichael, which already has other complaints on bbb.org. Their website brivo-usa.com was up for about 2-3 weeks, then it vanished shortly before delivery. I notice there are sibling pages with similar names ending in -usa or simply *whatever*usa. The boots delivered were nothing like what was advertised, so I'm guessing this was just a drop shipper dumping whatever inventory they had to provide a tracking number. As of 10/27/2025 it looks like bovo-usa.com is their current page, the tracking page is identical to what was on the delisted site, and I'm sure there are dozens more operating. ICANN/whois may not return details about any of these domains once they go offline. Do not buy items from any sites that look like bovo/brivo or whatever (if you have older parents browsing Facebook/Instagram), and most importantly do not open any of their e-mails, there might be something worse behind this as the links in the order confirmation/tracking number e-mail redirect to sketchy AWS pages before going to the tracking page. Whois for brivo-usa.com returns details for Kalkofnsvegur 2, Reykjavik, Capital Region, 101, (Iceland), which is a known hub for fraud/cybercrime.
