I am reporting a fraudulent timeshare resale company named Destinations Resorts Worldwide (also referred to as Worldwide Vacation LLC). On May 22, 2025, my fiancé and I paid $1,995 through Cash App after being told the company had obtained our information from Westgate Resorts and that we had five unused getaway weeks they could sell. The representative guaranteed that we would receive at least $10,000 within 60–90 days. After payment, we received no updates or legitimate services. When we called, we were repeatedly told that no representative was available and to “keep our lines open.” After doing research, I discovered: • Their listed business address is actually Expansive Workspace, a shared office space, and not a legitimate business location. • Their website falsely claims to be in partnership with Westgate Resorts. • When I contacted Westgate Resorts, they confirmed that they have no relationship with Destinations Resorts Worldwide and stated that they plan to take legal action against them for using their name and property images without authorization. • The company has no social media profiles on any major platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or X), which is unusual for a legitimate timeshare or travel company. • The Better Business Bureau lists 8 complaints within the past 12 months and 23 complaints within the past 3 years for the same type of fraudulent activity. When I spoke with a representative named Angel, she refused to provide her last name and denied our request for a refund, claiming the funds had already been spent on “advertising.” This company used false affiliations, deceptive sales tactics, and misleading promises to scam me and my fiancé out of $1,995. We request that this business be investigated and appropriate enforcement action be taken.
