Description
I was contacted by someone claiming to be a recruiter from Medix Healthcare Staffing. His name was Jonathan Kumai, and he used the email address [email protected] , which appears to match Medix’s company domain. He told me I was being considered for a Data Entry Specialist position with KORT and conducted a brief prescreen that seemed unusually casual and fast. He did not provide a job posting ID, pay rate, or specific details beyond saying that two supervisors named “Jose” and “Leo” would be involved. He then asked me to take a typing test via Typing.com and requested a screenshot of the results. Later, he sent me a PDF job description — but the document described a position at KORT Payments, not KORT Physical Therapy, and it was for a merchant services onboarding role involving technical equipment and credit card terminals. This was completely different from the “data entry” role I was told about. I could not find this job listed publicly on Medix’s or KORT’s websites, and when I looked into it further, I found no proof that Jonathan Kumai is a verified recruiter with Medix. I’m reporting this because I believe this may have been an attempt to scam or mislead job seekers by impersonating a Medix recruiter. I did not provide any sensitive personal information, but I feel others could be at risk.
