This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I received a package that I did not order containing a pen that was embossed with my first and last name. The return address was Jerry (001) YAS, 9208 Charles Smith Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730. My research leads me to think that this is a "brushing scam." In other words, bad actors have got my full name and address and may have sent the item so that they can write a fraudulent review in my name.
