Description
I contacted this non profit from Facebook marketplace attempting to adopt a Maine Coon kitten. All my contact was through messenger and my e-mail. I approached with an inquiry, was informed that I could adopt the kitten for $150.00 to cover paperwork and delivery fees I paid $100. and then was told to pay $300 for a crate to ship the kitten (refundable). I paid the $300.00. then I was told after the fact that insurance would cost an additional $500 and it was there that I stopped. I said I was not told this information up front, that I did not have $500.00 for insurance, I was told that the seller would pay the insurance just send the $50 left of the initial request and I would get the kitten. I sent $50.00. Then I was told just pay another $150 and they would send the kitten. At that point I said I had no more money. The seller who said her name was Veronica Lawery said that they needed that money to finish up paying the insurance and to send it to the agency Dynamic Delivery Service. [email protected] -no address no phone number. I told them to simply return my deposit for the crate since I was not going to pay them any more money. They told me that they caught Veronica trying to steal my deposit asked if I wanted to sue her-still asking for $150 to ship the kitten. Veronica also messaged me and admitted to trying to steal my deposit asked that I not press charges. I told her to send me the kitten, refund all that I had paid to her and for her to pay for sending me the kitten. She said she would not do that, to pay the $150 and all the money would be refunded upon delivery of the kitten. I contacted Dynamic Delivery Services asked for my money back from them and was informed that they had given the deposit to Veronica and to go to her for it. I asked her again, she said the only way I could get my money was to pay $150.00 and get it refunded when I took delivery of the kitten. I refused again and was told that I would not get my money-money that was guaranteed to be refunded.
