This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
A person named Ayanna called my husband saying she was from RCI. She informed him that we had 7 bonus weeks that would expire next month. She said she could rent those weeks to corporate entities for $1800/wk. Since I handle our Club Wyndham account, he asked me to call her back. I looked up the number first because I knew we didn’t have anything with RCI. Luckily, I came across a similar situation on the BBB website and did not contact her. Nothing lost for us, but reporting and spreading the word.
