This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I applied for a job. They reached out and said I had not been selected but gave me the email of one of their clients to give my resume to. He ended up FedExing me a check that was unverifiable. Luckily I did not cash or deposit it.
