Subject: Employment Scam — The Modern Media Company To the Better Business Bureau, I am filing a complaint against a company identifying itself as The Modern Media Company for what appears to be a fraudulent employment scheme. I was offered a job after signing an offer letter they provided. Shortly afterward, they instructed me to print a check they sent digitally and deposit it into my personal bank account. They pressured me to proceed quickly and avoided answering basic verification questions such as company address, EIN, or payroll information. No legitimate employer requires new hires to print and deposit their own checks, especially without secure verification. This request aligns with common counterfeit check scams where victims are later held responsible by the bank once the funds bounce. I believe this company is targeting job seekers under false pretenses, and I am concerned others may fall victim. I request that the BBB investigate this company, issue a public warning if warranted, and hold them accountable for deceptive practices. I can provide copies of the offer letter, communications, and the check file upon request. Thank you for your assistance. Best, **** ******* ************ ***********************
