Description
[email protected] sent me an email for an interview with specific instructions to connect with a person by the name of Richard Nowak via Microsoft teams. I thought the interview was a video call in teams like normal jobs but it was all through text messenger. They sent a 15 questionnaire to see if you are a good fit for the position and give you 25minutes to respond. Questions of name, phone, location, and email address, were included. They already had my email address because that was the initial contact method to me. Then, they asked for banking info to make sure it aligned with banks they worked with. They made sure to state only the name of your bank not your actual banking info. Like routing or accounting numbers. Later they said they would mail me a check to my physical address to purchase the work from home equipment from a vendor they work with. I did not provide my physical address because it all seemed odd. If we are communicating via messages on teams why not conduct a normal interview? Another question was if I am okay with no face-to-face interaction, that was odd to me working for a company and with a team but never seeing you in a video. The position was remote and that’s fine but did you would never lay an eye on them physically. I seems it a scam to obtain personal info. They quickly offered me the job in the weirdest way and wanted to make sure I can start immediately. There really was not a process at all. Andrew Adamidas emailed me from standard industriesusa.com an offer letter and a W4 form. I did not sign or send them my information. I looked up the business reviews and found someone complained about the same interview process on BBB. Glassdoor states they have a high turnover. Google states they target new hire candidates and. It necessarily people working within the companies. All employee reviews seem to be those that work in an actual building and the complaints are of those working remotely. I messaged Richard Nowak that based off their choice of interview style, the complaints on BBB, Glassdoor, and Google, I was not moving forward due to many red flags. I told him I do not accept the position. Be careful of job scammers. They try and get you by filling out the W4 with all your demographic and SSN info. They have my email address and name because that is how I was initially contacted and they know my city and state but, did not provide my physical address, DOB, or SSN.
