Digital invoice created using very detailed personal information from a recent Abdomen ultrasound, using the hospital name and location, my insurance provider, and a detailed very authentic looking bill. Like many hospital and doctor's services, I received a text message saying I have balance left on my account after an insurance adjustment. When I called the number on the invoice to check on the amount that was already paid in full weeks earlier, I gave up my personal information and then I was hung up on. Looking further into the payment system and the invoice, they had all my details from my hospital service to make it seem authentic - how did they even get this?
