The lady calling did not provide a company name, but said she worked for a compliance office. She called from a local number that when I called back, was the number for 3 companies who provided electric, AC and plumbing services. So I think she phished using their number. She called asking for a friend of mine, when I told her wrong number, she then called me by my full name. She said she had my phone number and address. I did not give her any information about myself or friend. She sounded very threatening about finding my friend, and also left her a message to call an 877 number. I am worried that if she calls enough people we know, someone will fall for providing her with personal information, which would subject us to fraud.
