Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

I went to the government website and applied for my renewal passport. Took the picture. Paid all the money for an expedited renewal. I have been getting communication from someone saying they are assisting in the process and there was an issue with my passport renewal and they were sending me a kit. I received the “kit” and sent it back to them. They asked further another $223 +. I did not send that. I had already sent the kit back and emailed them and asked why are they asking for another $223 when I have already paid and that is when they told me they are a service that ensures my passport renewal process would be correct…. I just reported them… I’m still not sure what the hell is going on
