Received interview from foreign folks re: a job application I applied for Virtual Administrative Assistant. They did the whole process, got "hired", very professional portal, I uploaded the I9 docs, W2 information (which of course had my SS# on it) asked for banking information to receive payment but I said paper check. So they have my address as well. I did extensive research to validate them as not a scam and honestly couldn't find a solid hole. Wasn't leary after seeing their onboarding process, the portal, the payment terms, everything was checking out. They matched me with an Executive that I couldn't find any information on social media. They even gave me her "website" that looked legitimate. They told me she is hard of hearing and only communicates via written/text/etc. Didn't give my phone #, just use a Google phone. I contacted the person they said was the CEO of VASCAP and he definitely is NOT he said. So they are using real photos but fake profiles of people on their website. She requested I work through the SIGNAL app and today she had a proposal for me which is attached. I have all the onboarding emails and attachments as well.
