Description
I initially received a potential job opportunity email from the contact provided in this form ([email protected]), asking that I download Microsoft Teams to begin conversing with someone ([email protected]) for setting up an interview. All aspects of the interview were conducted via the Teams platform to include extending the job offer. I later received an email from [email protected] with the job offer letter and background check forms to completed, signed and returned via email. I also then received an “e-check” IAO $6930.00 from that same email with instructions to deposit into my bank for purchasing work equipment and to retain $300.00 as a sign on bonus. Michelle then stayed in contact with me via Teams requesting that $1000.00 be Zelle’d to Imogene Shields at [email protected]. I attempted to vet out the company further but could not locate any contact number, when locating the company finally, the following number (630-429-9800) for the company Fiserv who seems to have bought out the original CDI company (had to leave a message). I then instructed this Michelle person to place a stop pay on their alleged check and that I would no longer be proceeding with the “process”. I will also now have to new in contact with my bank about the alleged scam check I deposited. I have plenty more saved files & screenshots if needed as it only allowed for one upload.
