This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
We received a very authentic looking "PayPal" invoice through email from "Rose Lang". Email address that sent the fake invoice is [email protected]. Email heading read: Thank You For Your Order 4SUM/917KX. The invoice (#245PM_2025_EEZM) (Date: Oct-08-2025) says we made a recent transaction of $427.48 USD to Coinbase Corporation and that it has been processed and will take a few moments to appear on our statement. They said if we have any questions to call +1.808.751.2608 within 24 hours. The address and company on the invoice is Stripe - 2660 Monterey Rd. - San Jose, CA 95111 - USA. They used an email address of ours that is not associated with our PayPal account. The address they used for "Stripe" is a Holiday Inn Express. The phone number is not listed as a business according to Google.
