I was on TikTok and saw an ad for jeans that supposedly had great reviews. That shop page is no longer on TikTok. I didn’t realize at the time that when I clicked to purchase, it took me outside of TikTok to Shopify. I started reading about scams and tried to reach out to the company to cancel. I looked at Shopify where the transaction went through for a contact. There were a few different emails: [email protected] and [email protected] were initially the emails listed for the company and I emailed both of them on 7/27 to cancel my order that had not shipped yet. I never heard back. On 7/31 I received an email that it shipped. There was no place to cancel an order on the website and no one would respond to me. The shop had shown free insured express shipping (3-7 days). I ordered on 7/22. On 8/26 I received the order from China, even though the website said it was on Canada when I looked up scam info online. The jeans I received were not sized correctly, extremely poorly made, very cheap material, loose buttons, and not at all what I ordered. There is no brand name tag on the jeans anywhere. I wrote an email to request a refund, as they had a 30-day money back guarantee on their website. I didn’t realize this was a new website also, and now everything on that site is gone regarding their guarantee. I did not hear back and didn’t expect I would regarding my return for a refund, so I disputed the charge with my Discover card. Only then, for the first time, I received an email from the company begging me to close my dispute and they’ll send me new jeans because I got a “bad batch” apparently. Well, thousands of people online have the same complaints. I refused to close it and asked how to return. They said I could keep them because return shipping is expensive and they’ll give me 50% back. I said I do not want to keep them. I want to know how to return. They contacted me no more. I still have an open dispute with Discover. They emailed me from a different email, [email protected]. I would estimate thousands of people from what I’ve seen have been scammed with this exact same issue. Oh, and now they changed their name to “Salenno”.
