I applied for an ad for email chat support job at appen usa. This company claimed to provide work equipment, but required me to pay for shipment and customs fees, on top of a certification fee. I sent money via crypto in hopes of getting the equipment to begin work "imminently". They claimed the equipment was "damaged" en route and offered "reimbursement" for the purchase of replacement equipment. I've lost a lot of money and there's been no communication since.
