Description
I received text from 42850 stating, "Regions Card 9238: Did you authorize $52.24 at OMIO *OMIO? Text 1 if YES, 2 if NO. Get help: 8337131160. Text STOP to end fraud alert texts." Shortly after, scammer left voicemail identifying themselves as Region's bank fraud departmen stating, "This is the Region's Bank Fraud Prevention Department 833-713-1160 calling for Wau to opt out of fraud alerts for this number. Please call 833-713-1160. We need to verify recent activity on your card ending in 9238. In order to prevent possible difficulties using your card, it's important that you call us back at your earliest convenience, toll-free at 833-713-1160 to verify this activity. Thank you." I do not bank with Regions nor do I posess a card *9238.
