I received a white postcard-style mailer claiming to be a “Refund Notification” from TrueClaim Asset Partners, listing a “case number” (C5-31456) and a supposed “Total Recovery Amount” of $6,464.37. The letter claimed the amount was “confirmed through public records” and came from a “Texas-based public agency,” with an urgent response deadline of 10/10/2025. It directed me to call (888) 209-5109 or visit refundscheduler.com. The return address listed is 1100 NW Loop 410, Suite 700, San Antonio, TX 78213, which belongs to a company called Accurate Recovery LLC, not TrueClaim. The mailer also claimed “Forfeiture Pending,” used government-like language, and stated “100% risk free – no out-of-pocket expense.” I checked Texas public records and the Texas Comptroller’s unclaimed property database and confirmed there are no funds or claims in my name. I have not had any foreclosure, overpayment, or situation that would justify this type of “refund.” The mailer appears designed to mislead recipients into believing they are owed money so they will call or provide personal information. This mailer appears to be a fraudulent or deceptive solicitation using an unrelated business address and official-sounding language to appear legitimate. I am reporting it so others in Texas (and elsewhere) do not fall for this scam. I have attached photos of the mailer for reference.
