I had purchased a website to be developed for my business from WIX Professionals. They offered social media and marketing services in addition to the website that was purchased at an additional cost. I paid them half and then the other half about a month later. 4 days after I had sent the money, I decided that I did not want their services. After several attempts to contact them and resolve the issue of refunding me back my money for services that were not rendered they refused. I eventually had to go through my bank and credit card company to get my money back. I received some of my payment of $2150 but was unable to get the other half. I have emailed and even spoke on the phone to one of their representatives who told me that I would not get my money back nor would I have access to the website which was paid for already. I thought we had come to an agreement on releasing my website to me if I did not continue to contest for the rest of my money as long as they released my website and I was not going to be charged. Then a few days later they were back to refusing to release my website until I pay them the remaining balance. I told them that because I never received any services that I would not pay them. I also told them that it was considered theft to withhold my website which was paid for.
