I was in search of an outdoor shed, and did a google search. The first picture was of a shed I was looking for and looked like I entered the Overstock site. The price was a great deal, and they were offering a good discount so I purchased it. I immediately received a confirmation email which included the order number. The email had the Overstock logo, but I noticed that the email name was from Overstoreck ([email protected]). It seemed a suspicious but continued to receive updates on the purchase, tracking number and a site to track the package. I later read that the tracking site 17track, is legit, but it is based on information provided and not true tracking of where the product is. They could not provide the name of the company that is delivering the item - I asked to see if I can track it on that site, but never got it. The tracking site showed the item was in China, went through customs, made it to the US and eventually delivered to our address - but we didn't receive it. I have been communicating with their customer service via email all along and they are very responsive - currently they submitted a ticket with the post office of the status of the package. I am pretty sure this is a fraud/scam - but it is curious how they continue to respond to my messages and don't just ghost me. One other note - the charge on the credit card bill was not to Overstock but to a company called Corneley* Corneley, Merchant type is clothing store and location shows Singapore 000005981.
